Compliant ZUGFeRD generation
Produce EN 16931 PDF/A-3 ZUGFeRD invoices inside your own infrastructure. An encrypted Docker container keeps invoice data on-prem — no cloud upload required.
- Encrypted Docker container, on-prem or private cloud
- PDF/A-3 hybrid files: visual invoice + EN 16931 XML
- GDPR: invoice data stays inside your perimeter

Outbound e-invoices
From any invoice to archive-ready ZUGFeRD
The Fintom8 converter turns scans, PDFs, or existing e-invoice formats into EN 16931-compliant ZUGFeRD / Factur-X — and ships that pipeline as a container you run yourself.
PDF/A-3 ZUGFeRD
Produces archive-ready PDF/A-3 hybrid invoices: a human-readable PDF bonded to embedded EN 16931 XML (ZUGFeRD / Factur-X).
Encrypted Docker runtime
The same converter pipeline ships as a secure, encrypted container for on-prem or private-cloud install — API-driven, no custom development sprint.
GDPR by locality
Invoice payloads, IBANs, and supplier master data stay inside your perimeter. Nothing is stored in a third-party SaaS for generation.
Drift-free hybrid output
Visual totals and embedded XML are generated together, so PDF and metadata stay aligned for Vorsteuerabzug and ERP ingestion.
Secure local deployment
Invoice data never leaves your network
German and EU finance teams cannot send live invoices, bank details, or supplier master data to a public SaaS. Fintom8 is delivered as a secure SaaS API or as an encrypted Docker container — the container option is built for GDPR-aligned, on-prem generation.
Zero-Trust Mode
Run the container in your VPC, data center, or Kubernetes cluster. Invoice files never leave your network during generation.
Data governance
Designed for GDPR and EU AI Act constraints: processing locality, consumption-based access, and no raw-code leak of the runtime.
Architect-ready integration
Modern API surface for SAP, DATEV, and other ERPs — the same plug-and-play modules used in the hosted converter, deployed locally.
Need a hosted trial first? The PDF to ZUGFeRD converter runs the same generation path without storing files. For production volumes and data-residency requirements, we deploy the encrypted container into your environment.
PDF/A-3 hybrid invoices
How ZUGFeRD files are produced
ZUGFeRD (Factur-X) is favored in Germany and France because one file carries two layers: a visual PDF for AP staff and auditors, and embedded EN 16931 XML for ERP import. Fintom8 generates both layers together so they cannot drift apart.
1.Ingest any source invoice
PDF, scan, CSV, JSON, XML, or XLSX — including country-specific layouts that break template OCR.
2.Convert to EN 16931
The converter translates the document into compliant ZUGFeRD / Factur-X XML with tax, line-item, and party semantics intact.
3.Embed in PDF/A-3
The visual invoice and the machine-readable XML are packaged as one hybrid PDF/A-3 file, ready for archive, audit, and ERP import.
Why hybrid alignment matters
If the booked XML total differs from the visual PDF, German tax auditors can challenge input tax deduction (Vorsteuerabzug). Generating PDF/A-3 and XML in one pass — then optionally validating against 300+ EN 16931 rules — keeps both layers in lockstep before the file reaches SAP or DATEV. See hybrid document drift for the inbound failure mode this outbound pipeline is designed to avoid.
